I learned a new thing today – to just simply take it alllllll the way in, when you got the recognition from others, and feel the warmth that came from it.

I got praises and recognitions from my colleagues earlier today for how I look nowadays, which far different compared to when we last met – years ago.

You see, being a truly introverted Virgo with act of service as her primary love language, it is me who mostly appreciating or doing stuffs for others, that’s how I naturally function, not the other way around, so I felt it’s kinda hard hearing others appreciating what you have done and recognizing the result (let alone goes public with my love stories – haha!)

Turns out – it feels soooooo good! So, thank you, truly.

But in deeper way though –

I felt like I really need to unlearn (to be or to act: – I don’t need your help, I can do it or let me do it for you – all the time), and re-learn (to start receiving help, appreciation, and recognition from others).

I sometime let others do stuffs for me: bawain barang dari parkiran ke apartment dan sebaliknya, nurunin/naikin koper ke bagasi atau ke lantai atas, bawain keranjang dan tas belanja, nyuwirin (what’s that?!?) ayam goreng panas yang baru keluar dari wajan supaya bisa dengan mudah dimakan, sampai bukain plastik makanan atau tutup botol air minum kemasan – not that I cannot do it by myself, but to just let them do it for me 🙂

So, yeah, let them do it for you, and just take it all the way in.
